Strong winds are expected.

Locations: south coast of Newfoundland, including Burgeo - Ramea, Connaigre, Burin Peninsula, and southern Avalon Peninsulas.

Maximum wind gusts: northeasterly 80 km/h, except 100 along parts of the coast.

Time span: Friday afternoon and evening.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
