Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 2:36 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: An area of thunderstorms is moving east across the region.

Motion: Moving east at 30 km/h.

Hazards: Wind: strong up to 90 km/h Rain: additional rainfall of 30 to 50 mm. Some areas have already received upwards of 50 mm.

Driving conditions will likely be difficult. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. There is a risk of injury.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
