At 8:02 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts and extremely heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: From areas west of Ottawa to south of Ottawa.

Motion: Moving southeastward or eastward near 40 km/h

Rain: Exceeding 100 mm in some areas.

Discussion: An area of thunderstorms will continue to track across portions of the Ottawa region, adding to significant rainfall that has already fallen today.
