Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 4:26 p.m. ADT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: A line of severe thunderstorms located from Canobie to 20 km south of Bathurst Mines

Motion: Moving very slowly to the southwest.

Hazards:

Strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h. Heavy rainfall rates of 30 to 50 mm per hour.

Locations in the Path: Notre-Dame-des-Érables, Canobie, Janeville, Allardville, East Allardville, Bathurst Mines

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
