Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 10:06 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

These severe thunderstorms stretch from about 40 km south of La Crete, to Fort Vermillion, to about 60 km north of High Level, and are moving to the east at about 55 km/h.

Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
