Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 4:17 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

These severe thunderstorms are located from 50 km southwest of Fort McMurray to 90 km east of Wabasca-Desmarais and are moving toward the east at 60 km/h.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
