Additional information: As a low pressure system lingers over the Central Interior region, scattered showers Thursday morning will develop into a band of moderate to heavy rain over Chilcotin Thursday afternoon and continue through Friday. Total rainfall amounts near 40 to 60 mm can be expected before the rain eases Friday evening. Higher rainfall amounts are possible locally, especially near the mountains.
Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Some travel delays are possible. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks, and culverts. Increased risk of landslides in vulnerable areas such as steep slopes, deforested areas or recent burn scars.
