A prolonged period of heavy rain continues.
Locations: Fundy National Park and Saint John County.
Additional rainfall: up to 30 mm, with locally higher amounts possible.
Time span: tonight.
Remarks: A slow-moving weather system will continue to support a prolonged period of rainfall. The humid nature of this system could give embedded thunderstorms with rainfall rates in excess of 15 mm per hour. Some of these bands could persist over some areas, leading to locally higher amounts.
Similar storms in the past have caused: - localized flooding, especially in areas with poor drainage - road shoulder erosion and washouts
