Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 9:01 a.m. ADT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking an area of severe thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rain.

An area of severe thunderstorms northeast Kejimkujik National Park is heading north and producing rainfall rates of 25 mm per hour.

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
