Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 8:18 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain.

This severe thunderstorm is moving out of northeast Edmonton to the east-northeast at 40 km/h.

Do not stop under overpasses.

Driving conditions will be difficult. Heavy rain will likely cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
