Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 10:20 a.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking an area of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: Algonquin Provincial Park to Whitney.

Motion: Moving southeast at 30 km/h

Hazards: Hail: up to quarter size (up to 2.5 cm) Rain: very heavy (50 - 100 mm) Wind: possibly strong (up to 90 km/h)

Locations in the Path: Algonquin Provincial Park, Madawaska, Round Lake Centre, Barry's Bay, Lake St. Peter

Local utility outages are likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.
