When it’s hot out, everyone is at risk for heat related illnesses. However, the health risks are greatest for older adults, infants and young children, pregnant people, people with chronic conditions (i.e. Heart / lung conditions or high blood pressure), people who work or exercise in the heat (even if they are healthy), people experiencing homelessness, those with mobility issues, and those experiencing confusion/altered mental status.
