Heavy rain to develop today.

An area of rainfall is expected to develop today and continue into Thursday. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 80 mm are likely through early Friday morning.

Locally higher rainfall amounts are possible in embedded thunderstorms.

Rain will taper off on Friday.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Some travel delays are possible. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure.
