Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 6:40 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.

This line of thunderstorms extends from just west of Bassano to 10 km north of Lomond and are moving east at 50 km/h.

Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
