Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 6:50 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain.

This storm is 10 km northwest of Sandy Lake and moving northeast at 15 km/h.

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
