Yellow Warning - Blizzard

Blizzard conditions with poor visibility in blowing snow are expected.

What: - Very strong winds gusting to 90 km/h. - Blizzard conditions are expected.

When: - From Thursday afternoon to early Friday morning.

Where: - Dempster Highway.

Additional information: Very strong easterly winds gusting to 90 km/h will develop Thursday afternoon as a front approaches. This front will also bring 5 to 10 cm of snow to the region.

Falling snow will combine with the very strong easterly winds to produce blizzard conditions with near-zero visibility.

The blizzard will ease early Friday morning.
