Yellow Warning - Heat

Locations: Prince Edward Island.

Time span: persisting into Friday.

Maximum temperatures: near 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex 36). Minimum temperatures: near 18 degrees Celsius.

Remarks: A very warm and humid air mass will continue to bring a period of high daytime temperatures and elevated Humidex values. Nighttime lows are also forecast to stay warm, providing little to no relief. Temperatures are expected to be cooler along parts of the coast. Conditions are expected to improve over the weekend.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
