At 6:21 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts and heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: Cobourg to Burleigh Falls

Motion: Moving quickly to the east at 70 km/h

Hazards: Wind: damaging (Up to 100 km/h) The strongest winds may be ahead of the line of thunderstorms. Rain: heavy (Up to 30 mm)

Locations in the Path: Peterborough, Lakefield, Cobourg, Campbellford, Colborne, Marmora, Quinte West, Trenton, Belleville
