Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 3:30 p.m. ADT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

A severe thunderstorm was located 8 kilometres south of Clairville, moving southeast at 50 km/h.

Locations impacted include: Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview, Saint-Paul, Légerville, Magnetic Hill, Berry Mills, Irishtown, Hildegarde, Harrisville, Lakeville (Westmorland), Lakeburn, Saint-Anselme, and Lower Coverdale.

Hazards: - 90 km/h wind gusts. - Dime sized hail. - Torrential rainfall.

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
