Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 3:19 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking an area of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.

These severe thunderstorms are located from near Hays to 30 km northwest of Suffield and are moving toward the southeast at 65 km/h.

Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
