Orange Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 10:34 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking an area of dangerous thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and very heavy rain.

Significant damage to buildings and/or trees is likely. Heavy rain will likely cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
