Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:41 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and very heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: Line of thunderstorms extending from Hamilton to Lake Ontario near Stoney Creek.

Motion: Moving east at 40 km/h

Hazards: Wind: very strong (90 km/h) Hail: up to quarter sized hail (2.5 cm) Rain: very heavy (50 - 100 mm), due to thunderstorms tracking multiple times over the area.

Locations in the Path: Dundas, Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Beamsville, Vineland

Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
