This warning is in effect for parts of the coast due to the following hazard(s): - Higher than normal water levels
Storm surge is expected at high tides at Herschel Island from tonight until Tuesday.
Water levels are expected to reach 20 cm above highest astronomical tide overnight tonight and may cause moderate flooding.
These high water levels will return at high tides in the overnight hours through Tuesday. Minor flooding may also occur at high tides in the afternoon.
These conditions can cause damage to infrastructure near the coast, including boats beached or anchored along the shoreline.
