Details

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.
Locations: Green Bay - White Bay, Grand Falls-Windsor and vicinity, Bay of Exploits.
Potential rainfall rates: locally 15 to 25 mm per hour in thunderstorms.
Potential wind gusts: near 70 km/h.
Time span: continuing this evening.
Remarks: Showers and thunderstorms are moving through central Newfoundland this evening. The main threat will be from heavy rain, but some strong gusts and small hail is also possible.
