Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:22 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

The thunderstorms are located from 20 km east of Lac La Biche to 20 km west of Onion Lake and are moving to the northeast at 60 km/h.

Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
