Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 1:38 p.m. CDT (2:38 p.m. EDT), Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Line Location: from 15 km southeast of Blackbear Lake to 65 km west of Opasquia Lake

Motion: Moving quickly to the east at 80 km/h

Hazards: Wind: strong (up to 90 km/h) Hail: up to quarter size (up to 2.5 cm) Rain: heavy (15 - 50 mm)

Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.
