Yellow Warning - Heat

A heat event begins today.

What: Maximum temperatures of 29 to 34 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees Celsius. Humidex values of 36 to 38.

When: Ending Tuesday evening.

Additional information: Cooler temperatures are expected for locations near to Lake Superior.

Hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and can result in the Air Quality Health Index approaching the high-risk category.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
