Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Locations: Connaigre (approaching the route 360 and 361 junction and surrounding communities).
Potential rainfall rates: locally 20 to 30 mm per hour in thunderstorms.
Potential wind gusts: 60 to 80 km/h with locally higher gusts possible.
Time span: early this evening.
Remarks: An intense thunderstorm has developed just north of Jeddore Lake. This storm is tracking south-southeastward at about 30 km/h and has the potential to be severe with heavy rainfall rates, medium to large hail, and strong wind gusts as it approaches the route 360 and 361 junction and surrounding communities.
Be sure to watch for changing skies — storms can intensify quickly.
