Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 8:21 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts and loonie to ping pong ball size hail.

Thunderstorm Location: Near Lake Nipigon

Motion: Moving quickly to the southeast at 65 km/h

Hazards: Wind: damaging (90 - 110 km/h) Hail: loonie to ping pong ball size (2.5 to 4.5 cm)

Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.
