Significant rainfall expected today.
Locations: southern New Brunswick.
Potential rainfall amounts: 20 to 40 mm, with locally higher amounts possible.
Time span: today and tonight.
Remarks: A slow-moving weather system will give significant rainfall today and tonight. The humid nature of this system could give embedded thunderstorms with rainfall rates in excess of 15 mm per hour. Some of these bands could persist over some areas, leading to locally higher amounts.
Yellow level rainfall warnings are in effect for parts of the Fundy coast and these may be extended as the rainfall pattern becomes better defined.
