Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
What: Wind gusts up to 110 km/h. Ping pong ball sized hail. Heavy rain, possibly exceeding 40 mm.
When: Beginning early this afternoon, possibly continuing into the overnight hours.
Additional information: Thunderstorms are expected to approach from Michigan this afternoon. An initial round of thunderstorms is possible early this afternoon. The potential for thunderstorms will then continue for the remainder of the afternoon into the evening and possibly overnight.

Utility outages are possible. Significant damage to property, buildings and trees is possible. There is a risk of serious injury.
Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
