Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 8:06 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking an area of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and loonie to ping pong ball size hail.

Location of the area of thunderstorms: To the north and northwest of Pledger Lake

Motion: Moving to the southeast at 55 km/h

Hazards: Wind: damaging (90 - 110 km/h) Hail: loonie to ping pong ball size (2.5 to 4.5 cm) Rain: heavy (15 - 50 mm)

Locations in the Path: Kashechewan, Fort Albany, Pledger Lake, Jaab Lake, Sandbank Lake, Moosonee, Tidewater Provincial Park, Moose Factory
