Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 1:07 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing heavy rain.

A cluster of thunderstorms is affecting the area. Local rainfall amounts exceeding 50 mm are likely.

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
