Details

Heavy rain tonight and Sunday morning.
What: 25 to 50 mm of rain.
When: Tonight through midday Sunday.
Where: Cariboo and southern Chilcotin. Highest rainfall amounts near the Cariboo Mountains.
Additional information: An upper low pressure system will move across central BC tonight and Sunday. Rain, heavy at times, can be expected near and north of the low through midday Sunday.
There is some uncertainty regarding the location and amount of heaviest rainfall, but indications are that Cariboo Mountains may receive up to 50 mm of rain. Embedded thunderstorms can also add to the rainfall amounts locally.
Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times. Fast-moving bodies of water increase risk to life safety.
