Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

Potential rainfall rates: locally 15 to 25 mm per hour in thunderstorms.

Time span: until early this evening.

Remarks: An area of thunderstorms has developed over Maine. These storms are tracking southeastward and have the potential to become severe.
