A broad tropical disturbance, Invest 90W, is slowly organizing southwest of Pohnpei/southeast of Chuuk near Nukuoro. This disturbance will remain quasi-stationary for the next 24 to 48 hours as it slowly develops. Early this weekend, 90W may lift northward somewhere between Chuuk and Pohnpei.
This disturbance is generating numerous to widespread showers, isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds across Chuuk and eastern Yap States. These conditions will shift northward in the coming days. Sustained winds of 15 to 20 mph, with gusts to 30 mph are possible.

Locally heavier rainfall is possible depending on the evolution of Invest 90W in the coming days. Residents across the FSM should keep up to date with weather forecasts from NWS Guam at www.weather.gov/gum, and for additional information from both, your local Weather Service Office and Disaster Coordination Office in Yap and Chuuk.
