At 916 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 19 nm southeast of Tug Rio Caroni, or 27 nm southwest of R2 Tower, moving northeast at 20 knots.
