...The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio TX has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas...
Nueces River At Laguna affecting Uvalde County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Nueces River at Laguna.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning to Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Moderate flooding with flow exceeding the banks of recreation camps in northern Uvalde County endangering sleeping campers and washing autos and gear downstream. Highway 55 crosses Hackberry Creek above Barksdale and the Nueces River at Barksdale. Farm to Market 337 crosses Camp Wood Creek east of Camp Wood in three places. All these crossings have had vehicular related drownings.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 1.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall to 1.4 feet late this morning. It will then rise to 6.1 feet this evening. It will fall to 5.3 feet late tonight. It will then rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to 13.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will fall below flood stage tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.8 feet on 09/15/1987. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
