Oneida Creek At Oneida affecting Madison and Oneida Counties.
For the Finger Lakes/seneca/oswego River...including Auburn, Auburn, Nedrow, Geneva, Oneida, Ithaca, Ithaca, Liverpool...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Oneida Creek at Oneida.
* WHEN...From this evening to Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Flood Stage. Low lying areas in the Town of Verona, and near Oneida Castle, flood. No homes, businesses, or infrastructure are affected. At 11.5 feet, Water spreads across Highland Avenue, cutting off some residences from accessing Prospect Street. Low lying areas in the Town of Verona north of Sconondoa Street flood as water backs up along Sconondoa Creek.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:15 PM EDT Friday the stage was 2.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rapidly rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 11.8 feet. It will then fall below flood stage late this evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.8 feet on 03/26/1963. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
