Special Weather Statement

Super Typhoon Bavi is currently located about 670 miles to the northwest of Chuuk near 14.5N 144.4E and is moving west-northwest at 13 mph. Maximum sustained winds are 175 mph.Chuuk sits on the far southeastern edge of Bavi and its associated monsoonal regime.

20 kt south to southwest winds and seas of 10 feet will ease further tonight and Tuesday. This is the final statement for Chuuk State.
