Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...West Central Socorro County in central New Mexico... East Central Catron County in west central New Mexico...

* WHEN...Until 200 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1101 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate-to-heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Datil and National Radio Astronomy Observatory. - The ground is already saturated in some spots due to moderate to heavy rain that fell Monday and Monday night. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
