For the following areas... Pensacola Bay Area including Santa Rosa Sound...

At 501 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over East Bay, or 17 nm northeast of Pensacola Pass. The severe thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include... Blackwater Bay Bridge, East Bay, Escambia Bay Bridge, Escambia Bay, Pensacola Bay Bridge, and Garcon Point Bridge.
