At 328 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Elgin, or 7 miles northeast of Columbia, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include... Columbia, Sesquicentennial State Park, Elgin, Villages at Sandhill, Fort Jackson, Woodfield, Lugoff, Fort Jackson McCrady Training Center, and Fort Jackson Wildcat Road.
This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 77 and 93.
