Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Northeastern Guadalupe County in east central New Mexico... South Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* WHEN...Until 545 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 249 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen. This area has received heavy rain over the past 24 hours, making the ground saturated. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Newkirk, Cuervo and Variadero. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
