The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Eastern Sandoval County in north central New Mexico... Central Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico...

* Until 515 PM MDT.

* At 210 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Eldorado At Santa Fe, Lamy, Galisteo, Canada De Los Alamos, Cerrillos Hills State Park, Los Cerrillos, Glorieta and Madrid.

This includes the following highways... Highway 285 between Mile Markers 282 and 290. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 286 and 300.
