The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... The Agua Fria River in... Yavapai County in west central Arizona...

* Until 900 AM MST.

* At 355 AM MST, a river gauge on the Agua Fria River just east of Cordes Lakes reported a rapid rise of 4.5 feet from heavy rain that occurred upstream Tuesday evening. Flash flooding is already occurring and will continue southward, possibly reaching Black Canyon City after 7 AM.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding in and around the Agua Fria River.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Agua Fria River.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Black Canyon City and Agua Fria National Monument.
