Marine Weather Statement

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD... Chesapeake Bay north of Pooles Island MD... Chester River to Queenstown MD...

At 633 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 nm northeast of Northeast River to near Aberdeen Proving Ground to near Back River, moving east at 15 knots. Frequent lightning continues across all of the affected waterways.
