At 356 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Coal City, or 11 miles southwest of Beckley, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Mullens, Sophia, Coal City, Shady Spring, Daniels, Beaver, Lester, Rhodell, Ghent, Josephine, and Maben.
This includes West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 28 and 37.
