At 517 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 30 nm southwest of Shot Point to 20 nm north of Minneapolis Shoal to 22 nm northeast of Point Detour, moving south at 30 knots.
