* WHERE...A portion of the northern Piedmont and northern Coastal Plain in central North Carolina, including the following counties: Chatham, Davidson, Edgecombe, Franklin, Nash, Randolph and Wake.

* WHEN...From this evening through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
